Vehicles in Pakistan

You may find it strange, there’re only five automaker companies in Pakistan, whose population is more then 170 million! Suzuki, Toyota, Honda, Hyundai and Daihatsu have practically monopolized the local auto industry. And these companies are manufacturing a small numbers of models. For example, Toyota is manufacturing only Corolla sedan and Hilux pickup. Similarly only Honda Civic and City are available by Honda Pakistan. And as the Government has imposed so heavy import duties on imported cars, therefore you’ll find less “brand diversity” in cars on Pakistani roads. Mitsubishi, Nissan and Chevrolet also manufacture some cars, but those cars aren’t very popular. The prices are relatively higher then India. Pak Suzuki is very notorious for its out dated and over priced cars. You’ll see the pictures of cars and something interesting on the next pages. Keep visiting southasianwheels!
